Welcoming M/V Aquapride to the fleet
CTM is pleased to announce that today, 4 October 2023, CTM Ltd took delivery of the M/V Aquapride, a 63,500 dwt newbuilding Ultramax bulk carrier at the Shin Kasado shipyard in Japan. The ceremony was attended by our CFO, Mr. Luigi Pulcini, and our Director of Sale & Purchase Mr. Paolo de Benedictis.
The vessel has been taken in on a long-term time charter from Japanese Owners and will join the Supramax RSA pool, contributing to our efforts in rejuvenating our fleet so that we can continue to provide our clients with our leading services for years to come.
The name M/V Aquapride has historical relevance for us at CTM and it is the second Ultramax vessel we have managed bearing the name. The first vessel was a 61,000 dwt also built in Japan (at Iwagi Zosen) in 2012 that exited our management in 2018.
CTM currently has around 140 bulk carriers under our Commerical and Techincal management from Handysize up to Newcastlemax.
Our Supramax RSA celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. During that time, we have managed over 170 vessels, generated over $2.2 billion in revenue, carried over 191 million tonnes of cargo, concluded over 3,300 fixtures and fixed vessels out for over 167,000 days.
