Going strong in a bad market
During the first half of 2023 the Baltic Supramax Index (BSI) averaged $10,457 per day, down 61% compared to the same period last year.
We are happy to report that in the first six months of the year, our Supramax RSA pool outperformed the BSI by 6.5%. This means that a vessel traded on the spot market in our Supramax RSA earned about $120,000 more from the market than it would have done on a normal index linked charter.
We saw our best results in Q2 2023, where we bettered the index by 12.3%. This was done with a fleet of over 50 vessels.
