CTM’s Logistics team provides services that are tailored to solving any and all potential problems linked to draft restrictions, shallow waters, port congestion, demurrages, etc. All this allows us to foresee any potential supply chain bottle necks thereby minimising costs and providing our customers with our unique supply chain solutions.
The Multi-purpose Coastal Vessel (MCV)
One part of our tailored solutions has been our involvement in the design and creation of the Multi-purpose Coastal Vessel (MCV). The MCV has been chosen as the preferred solution by a foreign consortium and Vietnamese State Authorities. The MCV is capable of discharging cargo from all bulk carriers up to capesize. The MCV has the following features:
- An Unloading Rate of 22,000 tons per day (tpd)
- High Manoeuvrability: Bow & Stern Thrusters – no need for tug assistance
- A Self-unloading System
- Tailored Design based on customers requirements
- A Shallow draft
- Certified for international trading & open sea transshipment operations
